COVID Safe Plan

As a COVID Safe business, we are committed to the health and safety of our customers and staff. We are strictly following all Queensland Government guidelines regarding the spread of COVID-19. As of December 17th 2021, for all of our Great Barrier Reef Experiences, we will require all customers over the age of 16 to be fully vaccinated with a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved COVID-19 vaccine.

Rest assured, all of our crew have rolled up their sleeves too in order to keep our community safe. Every crew member you interact with on the day is complying with all Queensland Government guidelines.

When boarding our tours, all participants over the age of 16 will need to provide proof of their vaccination status. The easiest way to do this is to use the Check In Qld app. From November 19th, you’ll be able to link your COVID-19 digital vaccination certificate into your Check In Qld app. Alternatively, you can access your COVID-19 digital vaccination certificate through the Medicare app, from your Medicare-linked MyGov account, or My Health Record. You can also use a printed copy of your COVID-19 digital vaccination certificate, your immunisation history statement, or your international COVID-19 vaccination certificate.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to our friendly team should you have any questions. For further information on the restrictions please visit the Qld Government website.

In addition to our existing safety measures, we have implemented a few new protocols to help you feel at ease when you travel with us.

Physical Distancing:

Physical distancing can be difficult, especially when travelling or doing activities. To assist in the process of physical distancing, we have installed signage at all locations so you know exactly how far away you need to be from other people. Our buses and boats have been assessed for maximum capacity, adhering to social physical distancing guidelines and we will be strictly complying with these measures.

Hygiene:

Sanitizer will be available at all areas of our business. We have also taken measures to ensure our team are limiting any unnecessary contact through handshakes, high fives or hugs. We request that you use contactless payment options at all times. Staff will wear protective clothing wherever possible (gloves, helmets, masks).

Cleaning:

We have increased our cleaning protocols in all areas of our businesses and will ensure all frequently used areas are regularly cleaned and sanitized as per the local health department guidelines.

Vulnerable Customers

Vulnerable customers (those who are identified as ‘at-risk’) are recommended not to attend the premises until QLD Health advises it is safe to do so.

Vulnerable customers who are comfortable attending the premises are advised to take their own additional safety precautions and are notified that the business cannot guarantee their safety.

Contact Tracing:

As a COVID safe business we are continuously looking after the well being and safety of our passengers. In line with Queensland Government Health requirements,  we have electronic contact tracing methods in place.

We’re using the Check In Qld app to help keep you COVID safe. All you need to do is:
  • Visit www.covid19.qld.gov.au/check-in-qld for links to download the app from Google Play or Apple App stores
  • Enter your details once when you first open the app
  • Open the app prior to boarding in the day of travel
  • Select ‘Check in Now’ and scan our code
We also ensure all of our passengers are contacted prior to travel to ensure they are not experiencing any covid like symptoms, have not travelled to a declared hotspot in the last 14 days or have not been in close contact with a known covid case.
We thank you for your cooperation in regards to these important safety measures we have put into place to ensure the safety of our passengers, our staff and our community in line with Government guidelines.

International Travellers

Please note, all international travellers must show valid proof of COVID-19 vaccination in line with the Australian Government and Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration’s approved list of vaccines. Proof of full vaccination must be provided to our staff prior to travelling with us. In line with the Australian Government’s health orders, we have the right to refuse entry to participants who cannot produce a valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate or who has not been vaccinated with a Australian TGA approved vaccine.
